Reeve D. Swyripa called the October 23, 2018 Council Meeting to order at 9:13 a.m. with all members in attendance except Councillor J. Stelmaschuk.

1:00 PM    Kitscoty RCMP re: Introduction of New Sergeant

Sergeant Cory Buckingham from the Kitscoty Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Detachment joined the October 23, 2018 Regular Council Meeting at 12:59 p.m. and introductions were made. C. Buckingham provided an overview of his background as a member of the RCMP as well as answer Council questions in regards to rural crime strategies. C. Buckingham left the October 23, 2018 Regular Council Meeting at 1:23 p.m.

Reeve D. Swyripa reported on his and Councillor L. Cusack's attendance at the Economic Development Workshop hosted by the Town of Vermilion on October 20, 2018.

Deputy Reeve S. Hryciuk reported on her attendance at the Northern Alberta Mayors and Reeves  Caucus (NAMRC) Meeting in Sherwood Park, Alberta on October 12, 2018.

Councillor L. Wolgien reported on his attendance at the Vermilion River Regional Alliance Meeting as well as the Digital Futures Broadband Symposium hosted by Alberta HUB on October 18 and 19, 2018.
