CALL TO ORDER

Reeve D. Swyripa called the August 20th, 2019 Regular Council Meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. with all members in attendance except Councillors M. Baker and L. Wolgien.

Tracy Snider, on behalf of the Friends of Clandonald, joined the August 20th, 2019 Regular Council Meeting at 10:08 a.m. and introductions were made. T. Snider provided an overview of the group's initiatives as well as request assistance from the County in ensuring the viability of the Village of Clandonald through development, promotions and advocacy. T. Snider left the August 20th, 2019 Regular Council Meeting at 10:29 a.m.

  THAT the County of Vermilion River join in the advocacy effort for the GST status of inter-municipal cost sharing agreements by contacting the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA), the Rural Municipalities of Alberta (RMA), the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), our Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Member of Parliament (MP) for their support in requesting that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) reconsider their ruling.
